General House Rules

Feel free to make yourselves comfortable! But please

,- No smoking in cabin

- No muddy clothes in washer/dryer

- No use of indoor fire stove ( I know, everyone wants to use it, ambiance is worth a lot!  Unfortunately insurance company said no)

- No outside visitors or overnight guests without prior permission from Host.

- No RV/ campers.( unless permission from Host)

- If you break or damage something, please let us know right away so we can arrange for its repair or replacement.

- Please pick up your dog poop if you brought a dog :)

- No use of garage

Check out instructions:

Please strip linens from any bed used, and leave on floor next to bed. Any used towels,
washcloths, leave on shower floor.
- Please wash all dishes.

Take garbage and recycle outside to wood shed, and put in appropriate barrels. Make
sure lids are screwed back on tight! ( animals can smell everything!) ALL GARBAGE
AND RECYCLING MUST BE IN A BAG- NOT LOOSE INSIDE THE BARRELS!
- Please make sure all fires are out in the fire pit before you leave.

- Water from faucet is drinkable! Really good too!
- Microwave. Put food in microwave and put your time in on the keypad, press start.
- Coffee machine. We have both standard coffee pot and K-cup coffee maker.
- Oven. Select “ bake”, use arrows to adjust temp. Then click the “play or arrow button”.
When finished click the “X” button.
- TV. Local channels, Hulu and Netflix available. Live TV ( which is an app on the TV,) will
give you the weather channel, AccuWeather and state news. Push power, use arrows on
remote to go up or down to selection, and hit “ enter/select”. Volume button is on the
side of the remote. If you ever want to get out of the application you are in, keep hitting
the “back” button or the home button.
- Washer and dryer machine located on first floor bedroom, behind the door. Washer is on
the bottom. Press power, choose cycle, add your detergent to the pull out tray and
press“start/pause. If you need to open the door after it starts, press the “start/pause”
button before you open the door, and press it again after the door is shut to resume the
cycle.
Dryer, open door, make sure trap is clean from lint, add clothes, choose your cycle and
press “start”. ( We find this dryer works the best on the “timed cycle”)

Pot and pans, cookie sheets, and garbage bags located in cabinet under coffee
machine. Grill accessories are on top of the fridge.
- Dishcloths and hand towels located in kitchen, top cabinet next to fridge.
*****WARNING- plates and bowls are melamine. They work great because they do not
crack or chip easily, they are easy to clean - however they DO get hot in the microwave!
Please use caution when using these plates and bowls in the microwave! On top of the
fridge is some plastic tupperware and “take a longs” if you prefer to use this to reheat your
items.

Camp Fire

Please follow arrows and the Red reflective markers, to and from the state trail.
Must stay on trail on our property!

If you go past the yellow sticks this means you are on someone else property. Back up
and try again, follow the arrows and red reflectors! “ Stay on the trail or stay home!”
Private property trail use is at your own risk. The host is not liable for any accidents. ALSO
County Rd W is open to all UTV / ATV’s!

Thermostat

Thermostat

In floor heat. Thermostat for heat only. On thermostat, press the “mode” button. Select
heat. Use the arrows up and down to desired temp.

Air Conditioning:
Wall mounted unit. Use white remote on the wall near the units. Full manual included in
this book.
- Power ON/OFF
- MODE button, press to select Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan, Auto.
- In AUTO mode, the unit will automatically either cool, heat, fan or dry to maintain set
temp. - In COOL mode, press mode button to select cool. Select your desired temp using the temp down or temp up buttons. You can also select the FAN button to increase or
lower the speed of the air.
- DRY mode- this is for Dehumidity
- Press the MODE button and select DRY. Select your temp down or up.

Wood Fire Pit

Use of the fire pit is at renters own risk and can NOT be left unattended- Please use wood ONLY from next to shed and limit to one tote per day. Do not takewood from anywhere else on the property for the fire pit.- Keep an eye on your fire. Fire department is volunteer and they do not work onSundays. If they are called, YOU will receive a large fine.

The Wheel Inn, next door :) Great Friday night fish fry, meat raffle every Saturday at 3.
Awesome pizza.


- Amanda’s Thunder Lake, about .6 miles west on Hwy W. Full menu, great chicken
dinner. Awesome burgers. Great pool table. Also can get to by county trails.


- Woody’s Bar and Grill. Going east from the cabin about 2 miles to Parkway Rd and the
Mobile gas station, Turn right onto Parkway Rd. About a quarter mile down is Woody’s
Bar and Grill. Full menu. Most weekends in the summer they have a live outdoor band,
huge fire pit with bean bags and horseshoe games. Super fun!

Holidays Saloon. Where all the locals hang out. Simple drinks and good people. Pool and Darts- good time!(disclaimerenter
at your own risk, just kidding) Both these bars and gas station is also accessible
by county trails


- Veterans park. W12170 Parkway Rd. If you are able to do stairs, there is an awesome
waterfall that feeds into a natural spring. All the kids slide down the waterfall and swim
in the spring. Beautiful location!!!! Head east from The Ranch on Hwy W, turn left on
Parkway Rd. Turn left at the sign for Veteran’s Park, which is about 8 minutes, or 5.5
miles from The Ranch.


- Thunder Lake. .6 miles. Head west from The Ranch , turn Right onto Thunder Lake
Landing. (Right next to Amanda’s Thunder Lake Bar and Grill.) Excellent fishing!
Excellent kayaking! We go here all the time in the summer to beach our pontoon on their
mini sandbar located diagonal across from the boat landing. Water is waist deep and
sand is powder soft! Take some chairs and sit out in the water :)


- Crooked Lake. 6.6 miles/ 9 minutes from The Ranch. Head west on Hwy W. Turn right
on West Crooked Lake Lane. The little beach with be on your right.


- Renee’s Dining Room. W11590 County Rd X. Head east from The Ranch, turn left on
Parkway Rd. Turn right on County Rd X. 8.1 miles, or 12 minutes from The Ranch.
Excellent steaks and seafood, after dinner drinks- the full supper club experience! One
of our favorite places.


- Hilltop Resort and Supper Club. N10120 Parkway Rd. Head east from The Ranch, turn
left on Parkway Rd. 10 miles from cabin or 15 minutes. If you are looking for an excellent and HUGE salad bar- this place is awesome! Great Prime Rib, steaks, pretty
much everything!
